The enquiries arrive when the kitchen is busiest
Your phone is loudest at the two moments nobody can pick it up. The questions repeat:
- “Open today?” — hours, public holidays, and whether you close between services
- “Catering for 40 people?” — the most valuable message you receive, arriving at the worst possible time
- “Deliver to my area?” — coverage, minimum order, delivery charge
- “Got menu?” — and what is actually available today
Three of those are answered from a list you already have. The fourth is a lead, and it should reach a person while the customer is still interested.
⚠️ What it will not do
It does not answer allergy or ingredient questions. Not “probably no nuts”, not “should be fine” — it stops and passes the question to you. A wrong answer about an allergen is not a bad customer experience, it is a hospital visit, and no automated system should be the one giving it.
It does not quote catering. A function has a headcount, a date, a venue and a budget, and pretending otherwise loses the job. The assistant captures those details and hands the enquiry to you with them attached, so you are not starting from “hi, how can I help”.
It states your halal position exactly as you gave it to us, and never elaborates. If you are certified, it says certified. If you are pork-free but not certified, it says precisely that. It will not soften, upgrade or interpret that answer, because in this market the exact wording is the whole answer.
Complaints about food or service go straight to you as well. A customer who has had a bad meal does not want a cheerful automated reply.
What it handles, and what it hands to you
| Answered automatically | Handed straight to you |
|---|---|
| Menu items and prices | Allergy and ingredient questions |
| Opening hours, break times, public holidays | Catering quotes and large bookings |
| Delivery area, minimum order, charge | Custom menu requests |
| Halal status, exactly as you stated it | Complaints about food or service |
| Whether you take table reservations | Anything about one specific booking |
The catering enquiry is the one that pays for this
Most messages are worth a few ringgit of convenience. One catering job is worth more than a year of the subscription, and it usually arrives as a one-line question at 8pm. The assistant recognises it, collects the headcount and date, and alerts you — rather than leaving it to be found the next morning underneath forty “open or not” messages.
It runs on your existing number
The number already on your signboard, your delivery bags and your Google listing. Jawabkan runs on Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform — not a QR-scanning app, which is the usual reason a restaurant's number gets banned. Background: why cheap auto-reply apps get WhatsApp numbers banned.
Setup is done with you
Send us your menu, prices, delivery areas and hours — a photo of the printed menu is fine. We load them and show you the assistant answering before you commit to anything.
Frequently asked
Can it take orders and payments?
No. It answers questions and captures enquiries; it does not process orders or take payment. Customers order the way they already do, with the information they needed in order to decide.
Will it answer questions about allergies?
No, deliberately. Anything about allergens or ingredients stops and goes to you. A wrong answer there is a safety issue, not a service issue.
How does it handle halal questions?
It states exactly what you told us during setup and nothing more — certified, pork-free, or whatever your precise position is. It never elaborates or softens the wording.
Can it handle catering enquiries?
It captures them rather than quoting them. It collects headcount, date and contact details, then alerts you so you can quote while the customer is still deciding.
What does it cost?
RM199 a month including 1,000 conversations, or RM399 for 2,500. No setup fee, no lock-in and no SST — see pricing.
